A group of riders is greeting me at the BP Service station at Tailem Bend on Tuesday 13th. October at 11.30am to welcome my return. About 12.30pm we will ride in convoy to my original departure point, the Globe Derby Trotting Complex, to arrive there for a pre arranged final to my journey. All welcome, and I’d love to see you there. Bye for now, Norm.
Hi everyone. I hope you enjoy reading of my adventure. The endeavour of this web site is to bring awareness to and raise money for some of our community who are affected by the horrible disease, cancer, but what could be worse than having your child diagnosed with cancer?. So I have chosen, and been proudly accepted as a fund raiser for the Childhood Cancer Association Inc.
My circumnavigation of Australia for this fund raiser gets underway on Friday 4th. of September 2015, leaving the Globe Derby Harness Racing facility, 1 Globe Derby Drive GLOBE DERBY PARK SA 5110, at 10.00am after an 8.00am to 10.00am breakfast.
Well, it’s all happened, the breakfast has been and gone and for all those that attended, I think you will agree, it went off pretty well, and didn’t Jen and her staff do a great job. I’ll let you know the final donations tally when it is finalised, but I know it was very good.
By clicking on the Childhood Cancer logo below, you can be enlightened as to the virtues of this wonderful organisation. Once you have done that and realise what a worthwhile gesture it would be to help these unfortunate children and their families in our own small way, perhaps you could make a donation by clicking on the “Every Day Hero” , “Donate” button located at the top right hand corner of each and every page. Once you have clicked on this button, please be aware that you are not committed to making a donation at this point, but you will be able to see what others before you have done, and then just follow the prompts. Even if you choose not to donate, please follow my journey.
I would like to point out that “Every Day Hero” is a Queensland company that collects money on behalf of various fund raising organisations. All donations are passed on to the various recipients. I do not handle, nor do I receive any revenue or benefits from these donations.
The Donations tally up to Monday 19th. October, 2015 is a very pleasing $9,418.90
This is from web site donations and banked cash . Thank you all.
Click on this logo to open it. Once my journey gets under way, the day’s story, along with photos, will highlight the events in a dated format that will enable you to travel with me. This will be found in the Title Bar under “Daily Events and Photos”. If anyone wishes to contact me, please email; firstname.lastname@example.org And please check out the “Donation” button to see the many donations made to date. Cheers for now, Norm.
